Been making pictures and words
in one way or another
since 1989
Right now, I’m mostly making drawings
that are on the way
to paintings,
interested in what comes out
from underneath my hand.
I’m having a sabbatical of sorts -
allowing myself to breathe
to slow down,
to let go of what’s come before,
to quietly follow
a sort of silence I notice
inside.
